Search Engine Ranking for October 2011

Google tops search engine rankings -- continues its dominance in the search market.

comScore released their search analysis for October 2011, and the results were predictable. Google continued to lead the search market with 65.6 percent of the search queries. This was an increase of 0.3 percent over the previous month. Yahoo was down 0.3 percent while Microsoft Bing gained 0.1 percent. The report illustrates no significant ranking changes from the previous month.October 2011 Search ResultsThere was a 6 percent increase in search traffic over the previous month, with 18.0 billion searches conducted. Google captured 11.9 billion searches; up 6 percent from September. Yahoo was up slightly with 2.7 billion searches and Microsoft Bing had 2.7 billion searches.Google had 66.2 percent of the total search queries conducted in October 2011. This represented an increase of 0.8 percent. Yahoo captured 16.3 percent and Microsoft Bing had 13.6 percent of the searches.
